Manic Monday
With 600 EUers coming to AnCon, chances are today will be pretty crazy. My previous experiences of organising and running conferences this size is that we will need to work hard at welcoming those who are new (abbout 220 first timers) as well as being patient. It takes longer than you think to move 600 people - especially Uni students who love to linger and chat!
Rowan gives his first talk today, and the students get to meet their room groups and review groups. Lots of opportunity for people to be settling in. Please pray that people wouldn't be overwhelmed or too daunted by the large numbers of people.
For me - back to Merroo for another year. I'm looking forward to the week, especially being able to catch up with some of the key EU students, as well as those who I have started mentoring in evangelism.
Father in Heaven,
We give you great thanks for the incredible opportunity that AnCon offers. We pray for those attending for the first time. Please help them to settle in quickly. We pray especially for those coming for the first time, or those who are not normally part of the EU. Please help them to make friends. e pray for all attending this week that they would hear you clearly as they study your word. Thank you for such a great privilege.
Amen
